    Bradley E. Gernand

    Bradley E. Gernand is a graduate of Antlers High School and the University of Oklahoma.  He has served as archivist in the National Archives, senior archivist in the Library of Congress, and as information manager for the Institute for Defense Analyses.  He was also honored to serve as the senior director of communications and executive communications officer of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.  Brad is the author of three previous books:  a tricentennial history of Falls Church, Virginia; a history of the Civil War in Northern Virginia; and a history of Quantico, Virginia, which the U.S. Marine Corps commissioned him to complete on the opening the National Museum of the Marine Corps.  His newest book is Hardscrabble:  Frontier Life in Pushmataha County.
